Four new players made their debuts for Ashford United at the Homelands against Molesey in the Bostik League South on Saturday – to take the tally of players used to forty for a season barely a month old – but it wasn’t enough to prevent the side slipping to their fourth league defeat.
Young forward Caleb Afoke joins from league rivals Herne Bay.
Afoke came up through Bay`s youth set-up to become a member of the first-team squad.
Morgan Seaman is an 18-year-old right-back who has been on the fringe of the senior side at Bostik Premier outfit Thurrock this season.
Seaman, who came through the youth system at Ship Lane, figured prominently for Mark Stimson`s side in pre-season.
Quick right-sided player Max Watters joins from Bostik North side Barking.
He is an England Schools international who also represented Essex County Schools.
He has featured a couple of times in Barking`s first-team this season, but made sixteen in helping them to win promotion from the Essex Senior League last season.
Midfielder Joe Bingham joins from Southern Counties East League side Sevenoaks Town and is the most experienced of the newcomers.
Bingham numbers Redhill, Chatham Town, Romford and Greenwich Borough before joining Sevenoaks last year.
