Green For Leek

Neil Baker, manager of Evo-Stik League South club Leek Town, has completed another signing to bring back Niall Green to Harrison Park.

The versatile player originally joined the club in October 2015 from Witton Albion.

Green had followed manager Scott Dundas to Witton after previously playing for him at Norton United where he was part of the NWCFL title-winning side in 2013/14.

After making twenty-seven appearances for Leek, he teamed up with Dundas again at Newcastle Town last summer for the 2016/17 campaign.

Green made most of his Blues appearances at right-back, but he can also play anywhere across the back four and in midfield.

Baker is close to agreeing terms with a number of last season’s squad, but Tom France (Kidsgrove Athletic), Toby Mullarkey (Nantwich Town), Aaron Carter and Peter Williams have all definitely left the club.
