Humphreys Returns To Linnets

River Humphreys has re-joined Hallmark Security League Premier Division club Runcorn Linnets after joining for a second time.

The capture further boosts Michael Ellison’s defensive options.

Central defender Humphreys enjoyed a successful two-year original spell with the Linnets but left in summer of 2016 after winning the Fiat Professional Tradesman Trials.

This national competition gave the plasterer a shot at professional football but a spell at Rochdale didn’t work out for the now 27-year-old.

He returns to The Millbank Linnets Stadium after stints at AFC Liverpool, Bangor City, Widnes and, most recently, Evo-Stik League North outfit Radcliffe Borough.
