Billericay Town manager Glenn Tamplin believes the club’s Bank Holiday scorelines do his team justice.
The colourful Blues owner hasn’t been shy about financing the teams and despite an opening day mishap at home to Kingstonian, his team have been as good as their title as overwhelming promotion favourites.
That was underlined by a 6-1 win over Burgess Hill Town on Saturday and Monday’s 5-0 success at Thurrock.
They are now top of the bostik League on goal difference – ahead of Leatherhead and Harrow, who also have 12 points.
Tamplin, of course, is thrilled by the fact that his team are looking like socring with every attack they make.

“The team has got the train rolling now. We’ve beaten a really good Thurrock team who have won their last few fixtures. I’m really humbled by the victory.
“It was a bit of a risk changing the team, but that’s why we have got a squad here.
“I’d like to thank the fans for making the away journey. I would ask the supporters to keep believing in us and we’ll keep doing our bit.”
Billericay’s next match is in the FA Cup against Didcot, a game being broadcast live on the BBC website.
