Keeper & Midfielder Return To Parkgate

Aiden Tyas has returned to Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division club Parkgate, literally just over a month after leaving to join NCEL Division One side Nostell Miners Welfare.

Tyas, who joined Parkgate from Worsbrough Bridge Athletic, initially packed his bags and left Roundwood during the dying embers of September. However, after new Parkgate manager Ross Shelton put seven-days’ notice in on him recently, he has chosen to return.

It is a major blow to Nostell, who were so pleased to have such a young and talented goalkeeper on their books.

Meanwhile, Parkgate earlier confirmed the re-capture of midfielder Josh Hemmingway from Maltby Main.

It’s a return to Green Lane for Hemmingway, who also played for Garforth Town and who has occasionally covered defensive duties at Muglet Lane.

“I am very happy to get Josh on board, said manager Ross Shelton. “He is a player I have had my eye on for a while now. He’s just the kind of player we are looking for”.
