Stafford Rangers manager Neil Kitching won’t be letting his players forget they are only two games into the season any time soon.
It’s been a fantastic start for the club as they look to win promotion from the Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division.
After unseating title favourites Altrincham 3-0 away from home on the first day of the new season on Saturday, they were just as sharp on Tuesday night.
The Rangers beat Sutton Coldfield 4-1 and fans’ expectations are growing by the day.
But Kitching wants everyone at Stafford to keep thinking positive but keep grounded after those effortless first two matches.

The manager is happy, he says, but cautious. They play another side hoping for promotion this weekend in the former of Buxton.
“It’s been a very pleasing start,” said the Stafford boss. “We’ve had an awful lot of energy about our play so far and that’s great to see.
“We’ve got goals throughout the side I think this year and of course we’re hopeful that this is something we continue to see.
“But sometimes you see people getting carried away by a good start and we can’t afford to be one of those sides. It’s a great start, but that’s all it is.
“We’re less than a week in, let’s remember that. I want us to keep looking dangerous and strong in defence.”
