Joe Jackson has been released from his contract by Ryman League Division One North club Norwich United.

The striker joined from Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Swaffham Town during the close season as the Planters looked to replace the loss of Matt Blake and Ben Thompson.

Injuries hampered his chances of a good run in the team and it was November before he was able to start successive games, scoring in the 4-0 victory against Brentwood Town and at Dereham Town in the 4-2 Norfolk Senior Cup win.

Further injuries and the arrival of Christie Finch further limited chances and Jackson went out to Fakenham Town on a month`s loan, playing five games and scoring once.

He has now re-signed for Swaffham, who hope he can rediscover his form of past seasons.
