Evo-Stik League South club Chasetown have made more signings ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Assistant-manager Antony Buckle has confirmed the signings of the following players – goalkeeper Dale Reaney, striker Osiris Robertson, left-back Connor Ryan, centre-back Luke Davies, left winger Frankie Baigent and central midfielder Josh Sedgley.

Reaney has experience with the likes of Cheltenham Town, Hednesford Town and Nuneaton Griff.

Baigent has been on the books at Gloucester City, Banbury United and Aylesbury FC, while Sedgley returns to the Scholars from Midland League side Brocton.

Buckle said: “Osiris Robertson and Connor Ryan have been with the academy for the past couple of seasons.

“Manager Scott Dundas and myself met up with Martin O’Connor a few weeks ago and invited a few of the lads down for training. These are the first two to come off the production line so to speak, strengthening the links between the academy and the first-team.

“Although they could be a season away from the first-team, the experience they have already gained can only be beneficial for them and a continuing pathway from the academy can only enhance our club.

“We have another couple of hard training sessions this week and then we are all looking forward to a bit of game time. As every club has, we have a few players missing for the first couple of friendlies but that will enable others to have longer game time which is really important over the next three weeks”.
