Ebac Northern League First Division club Shildon have taken young winger Jack Blackford on loan from Vanarama National League side Hartlepool United until January.

The 19-year-old Hartlepool-born winger has been with Pools since he was an under-10 and has made excellent progress through the academy system.

Blackford is comfortable on either flank where he direct with possession and uses his pace to cause problems for full-backs.

Blessed with pace and trickery, the youngster signed his first professional contract in April and made his senior debut 24 hours later as a substitute in the game against York City.

Blackford spent time out on loan at Evo-Stik League Premier sides Whitby Town and Darlington FC during the 2016/17, returning to make a second first-team outing for Pools near the end of the campaign.
