Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One West club Letcombe have signed Alex Fragata, Shermar Pettet and Tinashe Gwavava from local neighbours and Hellenic Premier Division outfit Thatcham Town.
Fragata is a former Hungerford Town academy player who has had trails with Bristol City.
Young Pettet`s strong defending abilities have already shone through in his first two appearances, picking up the man of the match award in last week`s win over Highmoor-Ibis.
Also on board is former Thatcham youth player Gwavava, whose pace and attacking abilities will cause many defenders problems.
Last season`s academy player of the year, Conor Lynch, has also signed.
Manager Garry Cook said: “I had Conor with me early last year and he’s filled out and is a stronger player now. He’s looked really sharp in all the pre-season games and has already notched up 5 or 6 goals.
“We have also found a little gem in Dan Bailey who has claimed the early number 7 shirt and also got called up twice to go with Bobby Wilkinson’s full Hungerford Town squad.
“It’s still very early days and I’ve told the players no squads have been decided and no player is guaranteed a place – we are all just looking at players and positions at this time and in the next few games things will become a lot clearer.
“Shirts are up for grabs it’s as simple as that, but I am very pleased with the way things are going”.
With just 2 weeks until the first game of the season, today presents an opportunity for players to secure their place in the opening squad.
