With the title race hotting up, Southern Counties East League Premier Division club Crowborough Athletic have bolstered their attacking options for the remainder of the season.
The club have announced the coup signing of Ed Smith from Farnborough, who are currently in second place in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central, for the remainder of the season.
Smith joined Farnborough at the start of this season after they were relegated at the end of the 2015/16 season and his goals have helped them maintain a promotion challenge up to now.
Smith has played his football at a higher level than the Crows currently play at, with his former clubs including Fleet Town, Chertsey Town, Metropolitan Police, Slough Town, Aylesbury FC and Farnborough.
He has scored goals regularly for the clubs he has played for and in three seasons at Slough Town he scored over 20 in each campaign. In total for Slough Town he scored 95 goals in 149 matches.
The club would like to welcome Eddie to the Community Stadium and look forward to him helping the Crows gain promotion from the SCEFL this season.
He goes straight in to the squad for the game away at AFC Croydon Athletic today.
