Daryl McMahon has urged Ebbsfleet United supporters to crank up the volume tomorrow night as Stonebridge Road welcomes back Vanarama National League football.
It returns in a thrilling way – a Kent derby with Maidstone United which means a lot.
Of course, the last time these sides met at Ebbsfleet it was in the play-off final in May 2016 and the Stones went up at Fleet’s expense.
Now they are together again and manager McMahon can’t wait for it to come around.
“We are really looking forward to it a home game for us in a local derby,” he said. “There is history in the fixture and it should be a great match.
“We want to build on our draw at Guiseley on the first day of the season and a local game will bring a big atmosphere. It is something that will mean a lot to our fans, the players and all the staff as well at the club.
He added: “I’ve had a great two seasons here and now I can’t wait to be going into these games against so many good sides.
“It’s what you’re in football for. It should be a good contest and hopefully our fans can raise the roof.”
