West Ham United have launched a bid to sign Lincoln City defender Sean Raggett.
According to the Daily Mail, the Premier League club have offered the National League champions £120,000 for one of their star players.
But sources say the Imps will wait and hold on for a better deal with the Hammers one of a number of clubs very keen.
West Bromwich Albion’s £100,000 offer was knocked back earlier this month. Reports suggest Everton could be about to enter the race to sign Raggett.
Lincoln City manager Danny Cowley has spoken highly of the central defender since signing him from Dover Athletic last summer.
“He has been absolutely outstanding,” said the manager of the 23 year old player. “Sean is a great player who will go far in the game. His performance at Burnley in the FA Cup in particular showed to many how good he actually is.”
Other clubs keen on Raggett include Derby County and Middlesbrough.
