Vanarama National League North club Alfreton Town have made three more signings today.
The first of these is defender Tom Allan re-signing for the 2017/18 season.
Allan was an integral member of the Reds` side last season, putting in a number of superb displays at the heart of our defence.
The second signing on a one-year contract is midfielder Tom Platt, who last season was with league rivals Harrogate Town, being released at the end of the campaign.
Platt started his career at York City. He progressed through their youth system and was loaned out to Hucknall Town in 2011 and FC Halifax Town two years later.
He signed for Harrogate in March 2016 after an initial loan period and made forty-seven appearances for the Minstermen and fifty-six for Harrogate, scoring 7 goals.
The third signing is goalkeeper Mason Springthorpe from new league rivals Southport on a one-year deal.
Twenty-two-year-old Springthorpe joined Everton from Shrewsbury Town for £125,000 in February 2011 but never made a senior appearance for the Toffees.
He spent a month-long loan at Woking in January 2014, subsequently playing for Fleetwood Town, AFC Telford United and Northwich Victoria, initially on loan, before signing permanently.
Last season he signed for Southport, making two first-team appearances.
