There was some good news coming from Bostik League North club AFC Sudbury`s pre-season training camp as manager Jamie Godbold was able to get the signature of the player that has impressed the most in the two pre-season games.
Julian Smith was the central defender who wore the number 6 shirt against Haverhill Rovers and the number 5 against Ipswich Town as a triallist.
Smith has previously played for Watford, Rayners Lane and Harrow Borough.
Of his capture Godbold said: “After impressing in our opening pre-season fixtures, I am delighted that Julian has accepted our offer to play for Sudbury this season.
“He has fitted into the group extremely well and is an important part of the team we are looking to build”.
