Manager Scott Dundas today revealed another new player for Evo-Stik League South club Chasetown.
Attacking midfielder Will Whieldon becomes the latest new Scholar.
Dundas said: “Will is a player that I have been after for a couple of sessions so to have finally got him is great news. Will has been at the Port Vale academy until he was 18 and then moved onto Market Drayton Town.
“Will spent the past three seasons at Drayton scoring over 35 goals in the process and had his best return last season with 15, which is one of the highest in our league from a midfielder.
“Will has great technical ability can see a pass knows where the net is and works hard for the team.”
Meanwhile, Dundas revealed how the first training session went.
He said: “It was a great first session of pre-season.
“With a few recent signings still away, it was great to see twenty-three players attend.
“It was nice and light to begin with but the lads were soon put through their paces and looked energetic, sharp on the ball and overall in good condition for the first one.
“There’s plenty more work to be done over the next six weeks and it’s always good to get that first one out of the way”.
