Sam Wilkinson, manager of Evo-Stik League South club Lincoln United, has signed Charlie Ward from ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division side Deeping Rangers to bolster his squad, after a series of injuries have plagued the Whites so far this season.

On the signing, Wilkinson said: “Charlie is a versatile player who can play in defence or in midfield.

“He is an uncompromising and competitive player who will be a very good addition to the squad.

“He is very hungry to step up a level and can’t wait to get going at Lincoln United.”

Charlie is the son of Paul Ward who was a member of the team that played at Huddersfield in the FA Cup First Round in 1991.
