Evo-Stik League North club Skelmersdale United have announced the acquisition of young midfielder Jack Stewart from Sky Bet League One side Rochdale.

He becomes Skem`s sixth new signing of the summer after impressing in a trial period, which includes Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Northwich Victoria.

Stewart said: “I am looking forward to hopefully winning the league and securing promotion for Skem.”

United manager Alan Rogers commented: “Jack is a fantastic talent with determination to learn and improve. He will be a huge asset for us this coming season”.
