Southern Combination League Premier Division club Loxwood have confirmed two new signings in Joe Holvey and Jordan Warren.

Holvey re-joins the club from league rivals Broadbridge Heath after being named managers` player of the season at Plaistow Road just last year.

Concerns from the player himself about his ability to commit to training led to his departure in the close season, but after a change in circumstances he has decided to return.

Holvey brings a quality and commitment to the right-hand side of the defence that will prove invaluable.

That’s not to say he can’t be effective further up the field – his hat-trick inside 6 minutes at AFC Uckfield last season will live long in the memory of all who witnessed it.

Warren signs for the Magpies from this Saturday’s opponents Pagham, where he has made twenty appearances this season, mostly at the left-hand side of the defence.

This proven pedigree, along with his technical proficiency, hard-working attitude and pleasing demeanour make Warren an excellent capture for the club.

These two additions bring yet more competition to the squad.
