New Rugby Town manager Gary Mills has moved to bring in a new backroom staff to the now Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South club.

Mills welcomes ex-Bedford Town and Wellingborough Town manager Craig Adams as his assistant, with Brian Mapley as a goalkeeping coach and Ben Beaumont as the new physiotherapist.

Adams, who had a spell at Butlin Road as a player in the mid-1990’s, has resigned his manager post at Bedford to join Rugby after a fourteen-month spell at the New Eyrie where he guided the Eagles to a seventeenth place season in the Southern League Division One Central after relegation from the Southern Premier.

Mapley was with Adams at both Bedford and Wellingborough, while Beaumont is taking up his first physio post in non-League football after recently qualifying.
