Ryman League Division One North leaders Maldon & Tiptree have announced that striker Femi Akinwande has re-joined the Jammers from Colchester United.
Akinwande, aged 20, originally played for The Jammers under David Wright last season, scoring 12 goals in only eighteen appearances.
He left Park Drive in November 2015 to join Colchester on a full-time contract until the end of the 2015/16 season.
Akinwande made an immediate impact for Colchester’s under-21s, scoring on his debut, and he has scored lots of goals for Colchester’s development side since.
In his first season with the U`s, Akinwande was handed his first-team debut, by then manager Kevin Keen in March 2016, starting against Wigan Athletic.
Having been offered another contract at the end of last season, Akinwande has been playing for Vanarama National League South outfit Bishop`s Stortford on loan this season, where he enjoyed a good time in front of goal.
Akinwande initially joins The Jammers on a month`s loan and is available for selection against Brightlingsea Regent tomorrow.
