Joint-managers Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley have agreed full-time deals with Vanarama National League North club Salford City and the playing staff will turn professional in the summer.

Johnson and Morley have agreed two-year full-time deals with the club starting on 1st April. The playing staff will turn fully professional from 1st July this year.

Since they arrived at Moor Lane in January 2015 from Ramsbottom United the duo have guided their team to two consecutive promotions and an unforgettable run to the Second Round of the Emirates FA Cup.

The step up to National League football is a notoriously difficult one but once again the managers have stepped up to the plate, with the Ammies currently in second place.

Johnson said: “The opportunity we’ve been given is beyond our wildest dreams. To be doing this so early in our careers is fabulous – we’re ecstatic to have agreed this deal and are buzzing”.

Morley added: “I’m not ashamed to say how I feel – we’ve worked hard and done well and we’re both made up. This is a massive opportunity – when we set out to do something we want to do it well and are looking forward to pushing the club on even further”.
