Dave Bayliss, manager of Blue Square Bet Premier club Barrow AFC, has released five players at the end of the…..

….2011/12 season with two players yet to be informed of their fate.

Captain Phil Bolland is the biggest name in those let go, and leaves after three impressive seasons at Barrow.

Also released are fellow defenders Cliff Moyo, Andy Nicholas, Kelvin Lomax plus utility player, Paul Smith.

Yet to be informed, due to not being available on Friday, are midfielders Andy Ferrell and Robin Hulbert.

Adam Boyes has another year of his contract to run, while the rest of the squad have been offered new deals, namely goalkeepers Danny Hurst and Shaun Pearson, defenders Mike Pearson and Gavin Skelton, midfielders Richie Baker, Jack Mackreth, James Owen and Paul Rutherford and striker Andy Cook.
