Bishops Win Only Surviving Game

Bishop Auckland moved to only one point behind fifth-placed Bedlington Terriers when they won 2-0 at Durham City on….

…Tuesday night in the only Ebac Northern League First Division game to be played.

Bishops took the lead after just 3 minutes on the 3G surface from an Andrew Johnson penalty after Chris Bell was fouled, and they went further ahead on 65 minutes through Arran Wearmouth with a header from a free kick.

Johnson missed further chances to add to the score as Bishops dominated the game, while City didn’t play anywhere near as well as they did against Spennymoor Town last Saturday.
