Vanarama National League club Guiseley AFC have confirmed that winger Wayne Brooksby has left Nethermoor by mutual consent and has re-signed for National League North promotion-chasers North Ferriby United.
Brooksby joined the Lions in the summer of 2012 and formed a key part of the Guiseley squads under both Steve Kittrick and Mark Bower.
The 25-year-old missed the North play-off final defeat to Altrincham due to a broken jaw but was part of the side eventually promoted to the National League last season.
Brooksby struggled for game-time this term following an injury in October and was loaned out to former club North Ferriby for a month in November.
Having agreed a mutual termination of the player’s contract, manager Mark Bower said: “Wayne leaves with our best wishes and the decision was made in the best interests of all concerned.
“He has been one of our most consistent performers during my time here as both player and manager and I’m sure he won’t be without a club for long.
“Everyone in the dressing room, and at the club as a whole, wishes Wayne the best of luck with his career at Ferriby and we thank him for his contribution while with us.”
