Skrill Premier club Woking have signed young striker George Bowerman, who was released by Sky Bet League One….

….side Walsall at the end of last season.

Bowerman came up through the ranks at the Banks’s Stadium and his performances for the youth and reserve teams in 2009/10 earned him a professional contract in May 2010.

He featured on the bench on a few occasions in 2010/11 and enjoyed a loan spell at then Conference North outfit Redditch United during the latter part of that campaign.

He finally made his first-team debut for the Saddlers in August 2011 and went on to make fifty appearances and scored nine times – seven coming in League One last season.

However, he was released by Walsall at the end of last season and has since been on trial with Cheltenham and Scottish side St Johnstone.
