Blue Square Bet Premier high-flyers Fleetwood Town have made Morecambe defender Kieran Charnock`s move to…
…Highbury a more permanent one after a successful period on loan on the Fylde coast.
Charnock began his career at Wigan Athletic coming through the club’s youth system but failed to establish himself in the squad and was signed by then Conference Premier side Northwich Victoria.
He became an important part of the team and was chosen for the England `C` team where he was spotted by Peterborough United and joined the Posh for an undisclosed fee.
Never really settled at London Road and after a loan spell at Accrington Stanley joined Torquay before moving back to his native North West and being snapped up by Morecambe.
He joined Fleetwood initially on an emergency six-week loan in November to aid the injury-hit defence.
And he made an immediate impact with two goals in his first three games, including one in the 2-2 FA Cup draw with Yeovil Town.
