Cleethorpes Town have agreed the biggest sponsorship deal in their history ahead of joining Evo-Stik League writes Tom Feaheny.

They have signed a two year front of home shirt deal with local haulage, distribution and warehousing giants East Trans.

Cleethorpes vice-chairman David Mann was pleased to get such a agreement in place.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Paul and East Trans sponsoring the club. It’s the biggest deal in the club’s history and shows the great strides we as a club are making, the support and faith in the club promoting them is fantastic.”

Last season the Owls gained promotion from the Toolstation Northern Counties East League. They also got to the final of the FA Vase.

Cleethorpes have high hopes after managing to keep the vast majority of his squad together at their home at Grimsby Borough’s Bradley Football Development Centre.

The only movements out so far, Brody Robertson to Alfreton Town and Leigh Hutchison to North Ferriby.

While they have been quickly replaced by new signings Danny North, previously with Grimsby Town and Shamrock Rovers, and Ollie Donald from Bottesford Town, as they look forward to the 2017/18 season.
