Consett Go Nap – Despite Keeper Problems

Consett won 5-2 at Guisborough Town in the Ebac Northern League First Division on Wednesday night, even though…..

….they had to put an outfield player, Anthony Lund, in goal for half the game.

Guisborough took the lead through David Onions, but Luke Sullivan set up Michael Mackay to score with a left foot shot.

Sullivan then scored a good goal, when he broke through and chipped the Guisborough keeper.

Dan Johnson levelled for Guisborough just before half-time, but in the second half when Consett had recognised keeper Jack Norton in goal, Mackay produced a good finish to put his side back in the lead again, then Ryan Bell headed the fourth. Aristote Guerin-Lokonga fired a fifth.
