Striker Kristian Dennis, who is currently on a season-long loan with Vanarama National League club Macclesfield Town, is rumoured to be a target for a number of League clubs in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old striker is regarded as one of the best prospects outside the Sky Bet League after impressing on loan from Stockport County.
Dennis has scored 14 goals in the National League this season, including a hat-trick in last weekend’s 5-2 win over Woking.
The talented forward enhanced his reputation as one of the best goalscorers outside the Football League with a goal in Macclesfield’s recent Emirates FA Cup defeat to League Two giants Portsmouth.
Dennis began his career at Macclesfield making four appearances before dropping into non-League football to have spells with the likes of Woodley Sports, Ashton United and Mossley AFC.
He enjoyed a prolific spell at Curzon Ashton which earned a move to Stockport in 2013.
Scouts from Football League clubs have been flocking to watch Dennis after being alerted to his goalscoring exploits and several sides are weighing up moves to give the striker an opportunity back in the professional ranks.
Dennis is out of contract at the end of the season and Stockport would prefer to cash-in on him in January rather than risk losing the forward for nothing next summer.
