Vanarama National League club Boreham Wood have signed free agent Joe Devera.
Portsmouth signed Devera from Swindon Town in May 2013 on a two-year contract.
The 28-year-old defender was Paolo Di Canio’s first signing as Swindon boss and made sixty-six appearances for the club.
Devera began his career with Barnet, where he went on to play 177 times as well as gaining experience in loan spells with Welwyn Garden City and Northwood.
He was a member of Swindon’s League Two promotion-winning squad and played his final game for the club in the second leg of their League One play-off semi-final against Brentford, scoring one of the goals in a 3-3 draw – which led to Swindon losing on penalties.
He totalled seventy-two games for Pompey, scoring just once, before being released at the end of last season.
