Disappointing Week for Causeway

Andy Mole, manager of Midland Alliance club Causeway United, admitted his players disappointed him this week after…..

…..failing to polish off Bolehall Swifts at the first time of asking in their FA Cup clash.

Twice Causeway led, but then let Bolehall back into the game on both occasions to finish with a 2-2 draw.

Mole said: “It certainly wasn’t an FA Cup performance by us and if I’m honest, Bolehall possibly deserved to win. I expected better from us.”

Goals from first half substitute Jason Wellings and Aaron Lloyd kept Causeway in the tie but Mole will demand a marked improvement for this week’s replay, with the winners facing a trip to Evesham United on August 31st.

Mole will be looking to chalk up some Alliance points over the weekend when Causeway travel to Heath Hayes on Saturday followed by a home contest with Gornal Athletic on Bank Holiday Monday at The Grove.

Mole added: “I want maximum points from those two games especially in the light of how things have started.”
