ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division club Wellingborough Town have re-signed goalkeeper….

….Jamie Brassington on loan from Calor League Southern Premier Division side Hinckley United.

Brassington joined Hinckley earlier this month having played the majority of pre-season with the club.

He has been signed initially to provide competition for Ashley Malhotra while Denham Hinds recovers from injury.

Originally with Midland Alliance side Heather St John`s, Brassington is a highly-rated keeper who reached the finals of the Samsung `Win a Pro Contract` in 2010.

He has since had spells with Spalding United, Bedworth United and Woodford Town and had a spell with the Doughboys towards the end of last season when he was instrumental in helping them avoid the drop.

Wellingborough manager Craig Adams needed keeper cover after Shaun Markie broke his wrist at work earlier this week.

Adams was forced to play 16-year-old youth team keeper Harry Doherty-Gooderham in goal in Tuesday`s FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round replay at Essex Senior League side Greenhouse (London).
