Alex Lacey has joined Blue Square Bet South club Eastleigh on a month`s loan from Conference Premier side Luton Town.
Lacey, 19, is an up-and-coming centre half who impressed then Luton boss Richard Money in the 2010 pre-season to earn a squad number.
A string of fine display at the heart of the under-18s’ and reserves’ defence saw him sign a professional contract in November 2010.
He made his full Town debut in the FA Trophy First Round tie against Welling United at Kenilworth Road in December 2010.
In 2011/12 Lacey featured for the Hatters in both the FA Cup and Trophy and was sent on loan to Cambridge City, Thurrock and Eastbourne Borough to gain first-team experience.
Paul Buckle recalled him to the first-team squad for the final month of the season and in June 2012 he signed a new two-year contract.
Eastleigh`s need for defensive cover comes after having Osei Sankofa transfer-listed with immediate effect.
The former Charlton Athletic, Southend United and Boreham Wood defender is considered surplus to Richard Hill’s requirements as he continues to build his own squad.
