There was just one league game in the Vanarama Conference South on Tuesday night but it was an important one with….

….significance at either end of the table as second-bottom Weston-super-Mare met a Whitehawk side chasing a top five spot.

Dayle Grubb gave the home side the lead at the Woodspring Stadium after 22 minutes when put in by Jake Mawford.

However, after 34 minutes Osei Sankofa equalised after a goalmouth scramble following a succession of corners.

The struggling home side looked stronger in the second half, with both Jacob Cane and Matt Jay having efforts cleared off the line.

But in the end a draw saw the Seagulls pull to within three points of third-bottom Bishop`s Stortford, while the Hawks leap-frogged Havant & Waterlooville and Chelmsford City into fifth place.
