Evo-Stik Northern Division One South Play-Off Rivals To Face Each Other Again To Start Season

Two sides who faced each other in the Evo-Stik Northern Division One South play-offs in Stocksbridge Park Steels and Spalding United will compete against each other on the opening day.

These two sides needed extra time to decide who gained victory as Spalding in the end went through but they were defeated in the final by Witton Albion in the quest for promotion.

After being relegated and initially being placed in the North Division, Frickley Athletic have a new manager in Spencer Fearn, they face another side who have made a managerial change with Newcastle Town hosting them, as Bob Askey hopes to take his side to the play-offs after they finished seventh.

Basford United last season missed out on a place in the play-off places by just a single point they will begin this campaign away at Belper Town.

The world’s oldest football club Sheffield FC start their campaign away to Carlton Town who ended the season just two places above the relegation zone.

The Toolstation Northern Counties East League winners Cleethorpes Town will start their first campaign in the Evo-Stik Northern Division South as they host Gresley who finished 18th last season.

New-boys Alvechurch who gained promotion from the Midland Football League Premier Division host Leek Town.

Chasetown will be at home to Lincoln United, while Loughborough Dynamo who finished the season just four points off the relegation places host Bedworth United after their mid-table finish.

Two mid-table sides from the previous season in Market Drayton Town and Stamford face each other. While former Premier side Corby Town begin with a home game against Romulus.

Promoted United Counties League Premier Division Peterborough Sports team host Kidsgrove Athletic who were mid-table last season.
