Vanarama National League South club Whitehawk have pulled off another experienced signing by bringing in 31-year-old former Derby County defender Dean Leacock.
During a career which started back in 2002 at Fulham, Croydon-born Leacock made more than 250 League appearances, finishing up with Crawley Town, who he joined in July 2014 after leaving Notts County.
During five years with Fulham, he made twenty-six appearances for the club including nine starts in the Premier League. He also spent time on loan at Coventry before joining Derby County in 2006 for £375,000.
At Pride Park, Leaock played 127 times for the Rams including a further twenty-six top-flight games during the 2007/08 campaign.
He left Derby in 2011 and after a stint with Leyton Orient he joined Notts County in June 2012 and was a regular in their side for the next two years, making seventy-four appearances.
He suffered an injury towards the end of last season and Crawley didn`t renew his initial one-year deal.
He spent time on trial with Carlisle United before returning south.
