Vanarama Conference club Nuneaton Town have strengthened their squad with the addition of two experienced players….
….in Lee Fowler and Craig Curran.
Well-travelled midfielder Fowler won a dozen Welsh caps at under-21 level after starting his career with Coventry City.
He has also played for Huddersfield Town, Scarborough, Burton Albion, Newport County, Forest Green Rovers, Kettering Town, Oxford United, Cirencester Town, Halesowen Town, Forest Green Rovers, Wrexham, Fleetwood Town and Doncaster Rovers.
He joined Welsh Premier side The New Saints in February 2014 after being released by Kidderminster Harriers but was released at the end of the campaign and signed for new league rivals Cefn Druids.
Curran joined Limerick from Rochdale, initially on loan, in February 2013 and then joined the Irish outfit on a permanent basis after being released by Dale at the end of the 2012/13 season.
The 25-year-old arrived at Spotland in the summer of 2012 after he had been released by Carlisle United.
The former Tranmere Rovers forward made five substitute appearances for Dale before being sent-off during his first start against Bury in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
He was then unable to reclaim a place in the team.
In total, Curran made over 160 League appearances.
