Blue Square Bet Premier FA Cup heroes Macclesfield Town have added French central defender Thierry Audel to their squad.
Nice-born Audel, 25, had been playing for Italian side Pisa Calcio until coming over to try his luck in English football.
Audel played for the reserves of Auxerre and played one season with Slovenian side MNK Izola before moving to the Italian Serie B outfit US Triestina Calcio.
He came over to England to trial with Portsmouth in the summer of 2009 and played in a pre-season friendly against Basingstoke Town.
However, he failed to earn a deal with Pompey and returned to Triestina.
He moved to Serie C side Pisa in the summer of 2010 and totalled twenty-nine games for them before coming over to this country.
He trialled with Macc`s league rivals Luton Town and played for the Hatters in their Beds Senior Cup defeat at Arlesey Town last month.
But manager Paul Buckle was well covered in central defence and decided not to offer Audel a deal at Kenilworth Road.
