Antonio Gonnella, who is equally comfortable as either a winger or in midfield, has signed for Ryman League Division One….
…South club Bognor Regis Town.
Gonnella has joined on the recommendations of his close friends Ashley Robinson and Osa Obamwonyi, and actually played against Bognor a few weeks ago for Folkestone Invicta.
Having started his career at Fisher Athletic, Gonnella has played at Maidstone United, Margate, Walton & Hersham, Thurrock, Canvey Island and Concord Rangers before moving to Folkestone.
Gonnella adds to the Bognor-Brighton connection – his uncle is Gus Poyet!
With the March 31st deadline for signings fast approaching it is important that the managers sign sufficient suitable players to safeguard against injuries or suspensions.
The search for such players continues and Kenneth Hagan, a local youngster currently at Chichester University has also signed.
