Blue Square Bet Premier club AFC Telford United have captured the signature of former Birmingham City right-sided player Luke Hubbins.

Manager Andy Sinton has tracked Hubbins for a while and swooped to sign the player after his release from Birmingham where he has been since 2003.

Hubbins, 20, has had a previous loan spell at Notts County and also made one appearance for Tamworth last season with injury cutting short his loan spell at The Lamb.

Hubbins is the first of several new signings expected to made over the coming weeks but the club have indicated that they are taking a careful and considered approach to Summer recruitment.

Hubbins insisted on being at the club`s presentation evening so that he could meet his new team-mates and supporters.

Meanwhile, influential captain Chris Blackburn and assistant-manager Mike Davies have both agreed to stay with the Bucks next season.

Blackburn signed for the Bucks after his release from Stockport County and made a huge impact as the club maintained its place in the Conference Premier.

Davies was recruited to fill the void left after the departure of Darren Read. He will continue as assistant-manager next season.
