Harry Winter and Ashley Kelly have signed for Blue Square Bet North promotion-chasers Hyde FC.
Former Trafford midfielder Winter caught the eye whilst on loan at The Shay from Northwich Victoria two seasons ago when he scored five goals in eleven games.
He was recalled by the Cheshire club but returned to the Shaymen in the summer of 2010 but a serious knee injury meant he missed most of last season, meaning FC Halifax only retained him on non-contract terms for 2011/12.
His first-team opportunities have been few and far between this season and Winter is keen for regular football, hence his move to Ewen Fields.
Hyde have two midfielders with four match suspensions starting shortly, so Winter will have an opportunity to stake a claim for a regular starting place.
Kelly started his career with Oldham Athletic
He spent time on loan at Leigh RMI and Barrow AFC during the 2007/08 season and he came back to make what was to be his solitary first-team appearance for Oldham in April 2008 against Leyton Orient.
He joined Salford City in the summer of 2008, moving onto Curzon Ashton a year later and then to Chester earlier this season.
