Billy Jefferys has followed George Wells in committing his future to Ryman League Premier Division club Hampton & Richmond Borough.
Co-manager Paul Barry confirmed the news after the defender agreed to remain with the club for another season.
It takes Hampton’s summer total to eight – and with talks going on all the time it won’t be long until there is more news as the squad takes shape ahead of the Ryman Premier season.
Barry said: “It’s great news – Billy is here for another twelve months, and that shows we are in the business of keeping our top talent.
“A lot of people are talking about him which can only be a good thing both for the player and for the club.
“He’s a key part of what we want to achieve in the future, so to get him tied down with others taking an interest is fantastic news.
“It’s been a good start to the summer period. It is going to be a tough league next season so it’s good to keep a large number of the squad together.”
Jeffreys said: “When the offer was made I didn’t hesitate. I am delighted to be here for another year, it could be a big season for the club.”
