Danny Johnson, the new manager of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North club Radcliffe Borough, has swooped to bring in no less than six new players.
Top of his list of new signings is Vinny Mukendi, a Republic of Congo international at under-19 and under-20 level, who joins from Wlsh Premier side GAP Connah`s Quay.
Mukendi started his career at Macclesfield Town and went on to make forty-seven appearances for the Silkmen before making a number of club moves including spells at Southport, Barrow AFC, Tamworth, Droylsden, Stalybridge Celtic, Goole AFC before joining Colwyn Bay and then Connah’s Quay in January 2015.
He briefly played for Johnson at his previous club, Nantwich Town.
A trio of players have made the switch from NPL Premier Division neighbours Trafford.
Ben Woods is a teenage defender previously with Macclesfield as a youth who came through Trafford`s system and link with Wellacre Academy.
Clevon Beadle is a young right-back who also came through the ranks at Trafford via their link with Wellacre.
Striker Sam McMahon, 20, had only joined Trafford last month from Curzon Ashton.
He was also on the books at Glasgow Rangers and FC Brussels.
David Brown is a defender who can play centrally or at right-back, who has graduated from the Altrincham youth team.
He was with Rochdale as a youngster and has won Cheshire FA County representative honours at under-18 level.
He signed first-team forms for Alty in late September 2013 and has since made a couple of senior appearances.
