Ryman League Premier Division title-chasers Margate have announced the signing of former Colchester and….
….Kidderminster Harriers striker Freddie Ladapo.
Ladapo, 21, has scored 14 goals this season in the Ryman Premier Division for Grays Athletic after joining on loan from Vanarama Conference side Kidderminster in the summer.
The Nigerian-born striker started his career at League One side Colchester United`s under-21 side where he featured regularly before signing for Kidderminster.
The striker made his first appearance for the Harriers in their FA Cup Fourth Round defeat at Sunderland in 2014.
Margate manager Terry Brown is delighted to add another goalscorer to his ranks: “It was really important that we strengthened the side having had a disappointing December. I just wanted to shake up the squad.
“Freddie caused us no end of problems both home and away and caused our centre-half’s trouble.
“He is a very talented boy who scored lots of goals for Colchester under-21s before moving to Kidderminster and then scoring 14 goals so far this season for Grays.”
Ladapo is match fit and will go straight into the squad to face Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday if selected.
