Brodie Litchfield has signed for Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South club Stocksbridge Park Steels on a permanent deal from NPL Premier Division side Mickleover Sports.
A former Steels junior player, Litchfield joined Sheffield United and was on loan at the Look Local Stadium during part of last season.
A highly-rated striker Litchfield has appeared fifteen times for Mickleover this season, scoring 6 goals.
The undisclosed fee is a record received by the club and with other options in the position, it is clear that this made good business sense for the club.
Chairman Don Amott said: “He’s a very promising young player and we will watch his progress with great interest. We wish him well and would like to thank him for his service to Mickleover Sports.”
Meanwhile, Mickleover have signed young striker Connor Hall on a month`s loan from Sky Bet League One side Sheffield United.
Hall signed his first professional deal with the Blades in May, having impressed mainly for the under-18s since joining as a scholar from the FAB Academy, having caught the eye of United staff whilst on trial with the club.
He was previously on the books at Uhlsport Hellenic League side Ascot United and spent time on loan with NPL First Division South side Sheffield FC earlier this season.
