Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division club Chesham United have signed defender Taylor McKenzie.
The 22-year-old Enfield-born McKenzie started his playing days as a youngster with Tottenham Hotspur and then Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday.
He had been with Wednesday since 2012 and had been on loan to Vanarama National League North side Gainsborough Trinity towards the end of the 2013/14 season, making six appearances.
He was released by Wednesday at the end of that season and joined Notts County, where he played four times in the senior side.
Chesham manager Andy Leese said: “We tried to sign Taylor in the summer but it did not materialize. Taylor has been a professional, but he knows the non-League game having been out on loan.
“I hope we can get him enjoying his football again and if we can I am sure he will be an asset to the squad”.
