McKoy Becomes a New Lamb

Midfielder Nick McKoy has had his contract terminated by npower League Two strugglers Northampton Town and he has…

…..been snapped up by Blue Square Bet Premier club Tamworth.

The 25-year-old only joined Sixfields in the summer from the Lambs` Conference Premier rivals Kettering Town but he is not a part of new manager Aidy Boothroyd’s future plans.

McKoy began his career as a trainee with Wimbledon. He made his League debut in December 2003 and remained with the Dons during the move to Milton Keynes until being released at the end of the 2005/06 season.

He then joined Cardiff City, having a loan spell with Torquay United, before moving north of the Border, joining St Johnstone in August 2008 before spells with a number of non-League clubs, latterly Kettering, whom he joined in October 2010, scoring three times in thirty appearances in 2010/11 mostly under current Lambs boss Marcus Law.
