Ryman League Division One North club Aveley have announced the re-signing of Kyle Asante.
Asante netted 15 goals and was crowned top goalscorer for the Millers last season.
He left the Millers in the summer to Vanarana Conference South side Bishop`s Stortford, but suffered a set-back after a car accident.
He then went on to sign for Maldon & Tiptree but didn’t really feel at home there and has now re-joined the Millers.
He started his career at Southend United, progressing through the youth ranks, but wasn’t really shown much of a chance at the Shrimpers, scoring one goal in nine appearances.
The 23-year-old has had loan spells at, Harlow Town, Canvey Island and Thurrock, before first joining Bishop`s Stortford. He then joined the Millers and became top scorer before leaving in the summer.
Aveley manager Justin Gardner was delighted with the signing: “He’s a fantastic player to be able to bring in, a real fox in the box kind of player. He did very well for us last season and I’m pleased to sign him” Justin also went on to say “He plays football the right way, and it’s the way we want to play.”
