Midfielder Merrick James-Lewis has returned to Farnborough from Ryman League Premier Division rivals Canvey Island.
The much-travelled 23-year old central midfielder had only been with the Gulls since January after arriving from another fellow Ryman Premier side, Merstham.
James-Lewis was an apprentice at Fulham before joining the Southend United youth system, earning a professional deal in 2010 and playing in the Football League for the Blues.
After loan spells with clubs including Braintree Town and Bishop’s Stortford he was released by Southend and signed for Essex rivals Colchester United.
He has since played for a host of clubs including Ebbsfleet United, Staines Town, Grays Athletic, Cray Wanderers, Staines Town, Walton Casuals, Maldon & Tiptree, Harrow Borough, Heybridge Swifts and Merstham.
He also made one appearance for Canvey away to Lowestoft Town in the 2012/13 season.
